NBCC Foundation’s 2026 Virtual Career Fair

The NBCC Foundation is hosting the Counseling Foundations: Your Path to Career Success virtual career fair to help Counselors find their next opportunity. Job seekers and employers are invited to attend on April 30, 2026, from 11 am–5 pm EDT. The NBCC Foundation is committed to expanding the mental health workforce, as the United States faces a mental health crisis. According to the 2024 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, around 23% of U.S. adults received mental health treatment in 2024. The career fair will help connect Counselors to careers in which they can help improve mental health outcomes for individuals across the United States.
“As part of our mission to increase access to mental health resources in even the most remote communities, we are proud to be holding the sixth annual virtual career fair,” says NBCC Director of Professional Resources Catherine Clifton Hardman. “Enabling job seekers and employers to reach each other in a virtual environment means that connections can be made that might not have been possible in person.”
Job Seekers
Recent graduates and professionals in all career stages are welcome to attend this event for free. Job seekers can upload their résumés before the event so attending employers can review them and potentially contact the job seeker for an interview. The NBCC Foundation is committed to giving job seekers the tools they need to succeed, so attendees will receive free access to on-demand professional development webinars to prepare for the career fair. Employers will have virtual booths that job seekers can click on and talk to an organization representative or learn more about the company. Job seekers can connect with employers via video chat and one-on-one texts. At this time, employers that will be in attendance include Family Ties Enterprises, Sheppard Pratt, and others. Employers
Organizations that are looking for passionate Counseling professionals are encouraged to attend the career fair. Previous organizations that have attended include universities, clinical practices, state and county behavioral health services departments, and school districts. Employers can review résumés before the event and contact attendees for virtual interviews during the event. Additionally, employers will receive a personalized virtual booth and connect one-on-one with prospective candidates. Attendees will include Counselors in different career stages, from recent graduates to professionals with many years of experience. Register as an employer here, and find sponsorship packages here.
“We hope to feature a wide range of employers in this career fair because there are so many great opportunities out there that Counselors should know about!” Clifton Hardman says. “Everyone from small nonprofits to corporations can find an employer or sponsor package that fits their needs, whether they want a content-only booth for job seekers to explore on their own or a high-level sponsorship with a custom-built booth, extra representative seats, and more.
Updates about the event will be posted here and on the NBCC Foundation’s social media channels. Use the hashtag #NBCCFoundMyPath to locate the announcements.
